Someone Won £24,500,000 On The Lottery Despite Not Having Six Numbers

Some lucky git has managed to win £24.5 million on the Lottery even though they didn’t match all six main numbers.

The winner of Wednesday’s draw matched five of the six numbers as well as the bonus ball, netting them the biggest Lotto win of the year.

The eye-watering prize of £24,501,283 had to be won, so it was rolled down to those who matched five numbers and the bonus ball.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: ‘Wow – a single ticket-holder has banked the £24.5 million jackpot in this special must be won draw.

‘The jackpot rolled down and they only matched five main numbers and the bonus ball to bank the biggest sum won on Lotto in 2017.’

The numbers drawn were 18, 36, 48, 57, 58, 59 and the bonus ball was 50.

Another 66 players matched five numbers but agonisingly missed out on the bonus ball, winning £1,128 each.

And 4,807 people won £99 by matching four balls.

The next jackpot for the Lotto draw on Saturday is £3.2 million.
