PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for the scratch-off bandit who stole $2,500 in lotto tickets from a Brooklyn bodega last month.

The suspect grabbed the New York State scratch-off lotto tickets from New Look Deli & Grill on Nostrand Avenue and Martense Street around 4 p.m. on Jan. 10, said police.

The gambling thief proceeded to scratch his way through the tickets, discard the losers and cash in the winners at the Papa & Son Deli at 1147 Washington Ave., police said.

Police describe the lotto-lover as a man in his fifties, standing 5-feet 9-inches, weighing about 180 pounds and last seen sporting a black North Face winter jacket.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police.
