A Wayne County man will become New York’s newest millionaire on Thursday.

A Macedon man won a $9.8 million jackpot in the Oct. 11 LOTTO drawing, after purchasing a Quick Pick ticket at Hegedorns Market in Webster.

New York Lottery spokeswoman Yolanda Vega will present the prize at a 1 p.m. ceremony at Hegedorns, 964 Ridge Road, Webster.

This isn’t the first time a Hegedorns customer became an overnight millionaire. In September 1986,¬†Somkhit Vilavong bought a ticket worth $10 million at the supermarket.
